“We use Hummersknott Academy swimming pool for our Water Babies lessons. James and the team are very professional and are really good to work with. Communication is excellent, if we ever have any problems (which we never do) we know that we can communicate it back to the team and anything that needs to be followed up will be. The pool size is fantastic, we can use a smaller space for our intimate baby classes but the size also allows us to push our older toddlers to achieve them larger distance swims. We never have any complaints. Changing is always clean along with poolside. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the facilities at Hummersknott and we look forward to continuing to work with the team.”

My classes attract men and women from 16 – 75 yrs of age, often with 2 or even 3 generations in one class. Attention to detail is reflected by the helpful Hummerknott Active Staff, meeting you in reception, showing you where you need to go, a large safe car park & an overall great atmosphere. Many of my attendees come to my classes whilst their children are doing an activity such as Karate or School of Rock & Pop or while their partners are having a swim or playing football. Hummersknott Active is an asset to Darlington, helping to get our kids more active whilst providing a multitude of exercise for Adults.”

Kyokutan Karate:
“Since relocating to Hummersknott Active in 2012, Kyokutan Karate (www.kyokutankarate.org.uk) has gone from strength to strength by being able to provide regular karate coaching sessions for juniors and seniors, competition squad training sessions, hosting our own regional competition and having two of our members become National Champions. We have only been able to do this due to the excellent facilities provided by Hummerknott Active and the support of the Stephen, James and the rest of the Hummerknott Active staff who have always gone out of their way to make sure our needs are catered for.”
