On Saturday, the year 8 boys Cross Country team represented the North East at the National Final held at Leeds Grammar School. The boys (Rowan, Matthew, Luke, Rohan, Jacob and Tom) took on 150 runners from 27 schools from across England. They performed exceptionally well coming 6th placed team overall, only missing the top 3 by 12 points.
The best position a boys team from Hummersknott had previously managed was 20th. Individually, Rowan came 6th but was only 1 second behind 3rd place. Other positions were:
